Dave’s Birthday Extravaganza

We celebrated Dave’s birthday over the weekend. Katty and I stayed in on Friday in preparation for the crazyness that was going to ensue. After having a nice dinner with the fam, we headed out to Keri’s apartment in an attempt to surprise him. Well, much to OUR surpise, Dave had seen an e-mail that Bill had left open earlier in the day, so he was fully aware of the party. He did mention that he figured he would have been able to figure it out much sooner… so in that respect, he was sortof surprised. What began as a gathering at Keri’s placed turned into a late night outing to Nick’s Uptown followed up by some mexican food.

Hutch decided to get Dave a shot of Prarie Fire, in retaliation for the Prairie Fires he got on his birthday – it took about 10 minutes, and some convincing, to finally get Dave to do a shot… but it wasn’t the Prairie Fire!

Hutch downed it like he had two the weekend before… oh wait. Dave promptly tried to eat my head. It went downhill from there. If it wasn’t for Mel – who knows what kind of evil would have befallen us!

We then headed to Caminos de Michoacan, the mexican food joint down the street. I made sure to do a roll call once we got there…

Thankfully we were able to eat all of our food, even after Wourms shared his personal problems with us. I finally got to sleep at about 3am… a scant 6 hours before the craziness of the Southside Parade was to begin!

Oh, and just as a reminder Dave, don’t get your poker statue and your new toy confused, ok? HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE!!!
