To do.

I couldn’t get to sleep last night because I started thinking about all of the things I have to do (and have been putting off). For the first time in a long while I stayed home on Friday night to try to get some stuff done. I was rather productive! Woke up early on Saturday to continue being productive and called it quits at 6pm. I do have the looming task of extracting my car (see above) from the snow that dumped on us last week. But today’s temps might help me out a bit.

I did manage to get laundry done last week in the midst of the sub-zero weather. But unfortunately for me, the drain pipe on the washer froze and I had to wring out my towels – my hands were numb for 5 minutes! Luckily my constant phone calls to the place that services the machines has resulted in a request for brand new machines! I guess the squeaky wheel does get the most oil…
(credit to Beau for the pic – sorry Mom!)

When I got to work this morning, that feeling continued. My desk was buried under papers, all of which are extremely important and which need to be done by the week’s end. I also had to give a video training to some of our staff – and of course, the projector and the laptop we use to show DVDs had been checked out. I had 20 min to come up with another solution. I ended up finding a cable to hook up an older laptop to our, even older, TV. It looked like crap, but at least it worked! So before hunkering down and writing a prioritized list of what I need to do to clear off my desk, I decided to sneak a post in.

Is it Friday yet?!

Great. And I was kind of looking forward to going to work tomorrow. But my task list is intimidating as well.

Maybe that’s why I’m looking forward to it. One thing at a time, I’ll eliminate those to-do’s!

…Right. Sigh. :)

Man, that is a rough spot. At least Chicago has its mass transit system so you don’t absolutely have to get your car out.

I want to see how closely you’re parked to the cars in front of and behind you!

Parked in the back – big fence in front of me, and Bill’s Exploder behind me.

Almost all of the snow has melted, shouldn’t be a problem to get it out!

Oh, and by the way, I know this is almost two weeks late, but it had to be said: if you had a shirt like that, wouldn’t you have to cross out the “your” and make it “Give it to Adam’s Mom”?
